Why invest now in a new boiler?

Around 55% of household energy expenditure is spent on your boiler; an efficient boiler can make a big difference.

Whether you decide to buy a basic model or a top of the range boiler, a new energy-efficient boiler can save you money, as much as £570 a year. [1]

In addition to saving on energy bills, updating your boiler to a more energy-efficient model will mean improved performance, better water pressure and fewer breakdowns.

Additionally, damaged or faulty boilers can result in the release of carbon monoxide gas into your home, which can be fatal. To avoid the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, regular services and repairs to your boiler are highly recommended. Newer boilers have built-in safety measures and are far less prone to carbon monoxide leaks.

How long does central heating boiler installation take?

To drain down the existing heating system, remove the old boiler, install the replacement boiler including minor alterations to existing pipework, refill the system, flush and clean the system, commission and test are usually one full day of work.

If major modifications to existing pipework is required or where a “combi” boiler is replacing a conventional boiler (tanks and cylinders need removing) you can expect the work to take an extra half a day to one full day in addition – the costs would, therefore, be higher due to the labour costs involved and additional materials.
